More than 6 million people have visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum since its grand opening in September 1995. The museum's 42,000 square feet of exhibit space features dynamic displays and intimate performance spaces, plus special and permanent exhibitions that utilize the collections. Its theater celebrates Hall of Fame inductees with video clips and music, as well as computerized jukeboxes containing more than 40,000 songs.
A $250,000 appropriation in Am. Sub. H.B. 16 of the 126th General Assembly was used for improvements to the exterior plaza concrete, public restroom fixtures, and artifact security, as well as installation of an interior electronic marquee and sun shields on exhibit casework. Nearly $162,000 has been reimbursed to date.
