The Art Academy of Cincinnati is a long-established independent college of art and design providing professional degrees and community education programs in the visual arts. The Academy's recent move into a newly renovated facility in the Over-the-Rhine district more than doubles its space and consolidates students, faculty, and staff into one primary building. The Academy has two appropriations totaling $600,000, and Academy officials are considering using state funds to construct a rooftop studio and garden at the newly renovated building.
