The Ohio Historical Center in Columbus was completed in 1970 to house the Ohio Historical Society’s central museum, archives, library and administrative staff.
State funds totaling $1,981,000 through three appropriations are being used for planning, design and installation of new exhibits and construction of new exhibit space at the Ohio Historical Center. Funds were used to refurbish existing exhibit casework; to fabricate moveable walls for exhibits and a Plexiglas display system for quilts and other large textiles; to purchase electronic hardware; and to install exhibit signage.
