The 80-year-old Cleveland Institute of Music is a post-secondary conservatory for more than 400 students seeking bachelor, master or doctoral degrees in music performance and related disciplines. The Institute also serves thousands more through continuing education and distance learning programs.
Two state appropriations totaling $1.5 million were invested in a $38-million expansion project of the Cleveland Institute of Music. The expansion project built new practice rooms, teaching studios, rehearsal space, and a 250-seat recital hall. Construction started in May 2005, and dedication ceremonies were held in November 2007.
