Dedicated in 1825, the First Congregational Church in Tallmadge is the oldest church in Ohio in continuous use as a place of worship. The church remains almost unchanged today. Appropriations totaling $331,027 helped fund building restoration, including exterior painting, side-porch columns replacement, cedar-shake roof replacement, church pew refinishing, and installation of a replica copper weathervane. State funds also assisted with exhibit development and installation.
