Harriet Beecher Stowe House

Harriet Beecher Stowe, the author of Uncle Tom’s Cabin, briefly lived in this house. Youth workers from the Cincinnati Citizens Committee on Youth restored the house as an African–American cultural and educational center. The house is on the National Register of Historic Places. The state appropriated $200,000 for capital improvements, which were completed in fiscal year 1998.
