Grant Schoolhouse
Facility
President Ulysses S. Grant attended this two-room brick schoolhouse in Georgetown in the 1830s. The state appropriated $26,798 for interior renovations, and rewiring and plumbing improvements that were recommended by the Appalachian Region Public Facilities Task Force. The facility reopened in April 1997.
