Fort Jefferson commemorates the site of a supply fort built during the campaigns of General Anthony Wayne. A monument erected in 1907 has been maintained as a prominent feature of this roadside park. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The state appropriated $26,399 for improvements, including new interpretive signs, fencing, and a boundary survey.
