Fort Amanda
Facility
Fort Amanda, located on the Auglaize River northwest of Wapakoneta, was the site of a hospital and supply fort built during the War of 1812. The fort has not been reconstructed, and the site is now a park. State appropriations totaling $41,794 funded projects including exhibit refurbishing, roof replacement, retaining wall repairs, and other site work. The work was completed in 1998.
