Cleveland Browns Stadium

Construction of the $282-million, 1.64-million-square-foot Cleveland Browns Stadium began May 15, 1997, and was completed ahead of schedule, in July 1999. The first Browns’ game in the new stadium was held on August 21, 1999. State funds totaling $36,790,605 have been reimbursed for the project.
