Century Village

Facility

Since 1938, the the Century Village museum complex has provided a glimpse into Geauga County's past, and continues to grow -- offering 22 historic buildings, tours, festivals, and educational programs.

Current Project

The Geauga County Historical Society, which operates Century Village, intends to create Ohio's first Sugarhouse & Maple Museum on the 60-acre grounds. The working sugarhouse will allow visitors to observe and learn about the process of maple syrup production, and also will include workshops and educational programs for both maple syrup producers and the general public. The museum will house maple syrup-related artifacts and memorobilia from around the state, and will house an Ohio Maple Hall of Fame. The project was appropriated $20,000 by the 127th General Assembly in Am. Sub. H.B. 562.
