Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden


Facility

The second-oldest zoo in America, the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden opened in 1875. Three of the zoo's original buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Cincinnati Zoo is an international leader in cat conservation with 18 cat species, half the cat species in the world.

Current Project

Cat Canyon will feature a dramatic outdoor exhibit of large predators, such as lions, tigers, cheetahs, and leopards. A new indoor facility will show small cat species in large, natural environment settings.
