The County Line Historical Society is dedicated to preserving the history of the communities surrounding the county line between Wayne and Holmes counties.
A $100,000 state appropriation is assisting the society with the renovation of an 1870s property, located on the main street in the village of Shreve, into a historical museum. The museum will preserve and display the history of the region through archives, exhibitions, and educational programs. The project was approved by the Commission in August 2007, and more than $59,000 has been reimbursed.
