Heritage Center of Dayton Manufacturing & Entrepreneurship
Facility
Created through the merger of Carillon Historical Park and the Montgomery County Historical Society in August 2005, the nonprofit organization Dayton History brings the past to life by collecting, preserving, interpreting, and presenting the region's assets, stories, and experiences.
Current Project
Sponsor Dayton History plans to construct a new museum at Carillon Park called the Heritage Center of Dayton Manufacturing & Entrepreneurship. The Center will focus on Dayton's history of innovation, particularly in transportation. Two appropriations totaling $2.3 million, approved by the Commission in February 2009, will assist Dayton History with the endeavor.
