French Art Colony
Facility
The French Art Colony is housed in an 1855 Greek Revival building listed on the National Register of Historic Places and located in Gallipolis' Historic District along the Ohio River. This community arts center offers exhibitions and workshops, hosts meetings and special events, and sponsors a variety of arts classes for all ages.
Current Project
A $100,000 state appropriation was approved by the Commission in August 2007 for necessary renovations to the building's front porch and patio, parking areas, and walkways, and for the creation of a second ADA-compliant entrance. More than $57,000 was reimbursed during fiscal year 2008.
