Gallia County Historical/Genealogical Society
Facility
Housed in a 1960 former department store, the Gallia County Historical/Genealogical Society maintains a collection of historical and genealogical material pertaining to the Gallia County area, and operates a county museum and a military museum honoring local veterans.
Current Project
State funds will contribute to an energy efficiency project at the building, including upgrades to heating and cooling units, updates to lighting, and replacement of old storefront glass with energy-efficient glass. An appropriation of $100,000 in Am. Sub. H.B. 699 of the 126th General Assembly received Commission approval in August 2009.
