The Cincinnati Arts and Technology Center is located in 100-year-old Longworth Hall. It is a five-story, quarter-mile-long facility that also houses commercial office and business space. The Center offers hands-on arts and technology curricula to urban, at-risk high school students at no charge - helping to foster motivation to stay in school and advance to higher learning.
The Cincinnati Arts and Technology Center was reimbursed with a state appropriation of $100,000 in Am. Sub. H.B. 16 of the 126th General Assembly for the build-out of a 2,000-square-foot ceramics studio, complete with a clay-prep laboratory and classroom space. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on March 2, 2007 to commemorate the opening of the new ceramics studio.
