Columbus, Ohio –Governor Ted Strickland has appointed Craig A. Marshall, CPA, of Columbus, to the Ohio Cultural Facilities Commission. Mr. Marshall has been appointed to a three-year term ending December 31, 2011.
Mr. Marshall is the Columbus Managing Partner and a Risk Advisory Partner for Ernst & Young. He previously served as Ernst & Young’s Dayton Office Managing Partner, and relocated to Columbus in June 2008. While in Dayton, Mr. Marshall served on the boards of a number of nonprofit organizations, and served as a board member and chair of Culture Works, the Dayton area arts fund. Mr. Marshall currently serves on the boards of the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the OSU Fisher College Advisory Board, and the Leadership Circle of Central Ohio United Way. Mr. Marshall is a CPA in Ohio and 14 other states. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Dayton and an Executive MBA from Columbia University, and attended the Executive Program at the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
The Ohio Cultural Facilities Commission consists of 12 members; nine voting and three non-voting. Voting members of the Commission are appointed by the Governor, and are selected from various geographical areas of the state. The three non-voting, ex-officio members include the staff director of the Ohio Arts Council and two legislative members, one each appointed by the Senate President and House Speaker.
