Ohio Cultural Facilities Commission Approves
$150,000 for Hip Klotz Memorial

Columbus, Ohio –
The Ohio Cultural Facilities Commission approved $150,000 at its quarterly meeting today for a Hip Klotz Memorial project.

The Montpelier Exempted Village Schools will use the funds to conduct an interior renovation of the Hip Klotz field house, creating an interpretive historical timeline and interpretive panels that will be on display throughout the facility. The exhibits will interpret the life of Hip Klotz and his positive impact on the Montpelier community.

The Commission approval, coupled with the signing of legal agreements, allows the Montpelier Exempted Village Schools to be reimbursed on a pro rata basis with funds appropriated in Am. Sub. H.B. 699 of the 126th General Assembly. Williams County General Assembly members who voted in favor of the bill include Senator Steve Buehrer.
